Broughton grange--

My private garden tour of Broughton Grange started in the rain. The head gardener, my contact to B.G., offered me a beautiful map of the property and, luckily, an umbrella. I didn't need it long thankfully, as the rain quickly stopped, and the sun made all the grasses and flowers shimmer. This garden had all the english garden must-haves; greenhouse, vegetable garden, rill with pond, walled garden, knot garden, rose garden and parterre, swimming pool, and tennis court. Tom Stuart-Smith designed a section of the walled garden with many grass species including Miscanthus, Calamagrostis and Panicum. The owner has even designated 80 acres to an arboretum.
